I’ve always been called “the voice”, and recently, I had the incredible opportunity to narrate a continuation of The Idea of You, called The Reality of You by Irene Chiang[.
If you’ve read The Idea of You, you know how deeply that story grips us — not just because of the romance, but because it dares to explore something society still struggles to accept: a relationship between an older woman and a younger man.
It’s a story that resonates with so many women who have been told to “stay in their lane” when it comes to love, desire, and age. Yet, The Idea of You gave us permission to dream, to feel, and to challenge those outdated rules.
The Reality of You continues that journey — and narrating it has been an emotional and beautiful experience. This story will continue about what happens to Solene and Hayes, five years later.
