Don’t Worry… About A Thing

Bob Marley’s iconic lyrics, ‘every little thing is going to be alright,’ echoed through the barbershop this afternoon as my husband and I arrived for his haircut. Little did I know, I would find myself singing along to Bob Marley tunes throughout his entire trim. The charming barber, with his captivating eyes and smile, bore a striking resemblance to my daughter’s Mexican-American boyfriend. Engaging in conversation about our shared love for reggae and Bob Marley, the barber skillfully trimmed my husband’s hair while I serenaded him with every song that played from the legendary artist’s repertoire.

It’s incredible how the universe has its way of sending messages when we least expect it, isn’t it? Sometimes, it feels like the perfect song comes on at just the right moment, delivering exactly what we need to hear. It’s a reminder to stay present and open to the signs and synchronicities around us. There’s a certain magic in those moments when the universe speaks to us through music, nature, or even unexpected encounters. It’s all about tuning in and being receptive to the messages that come our way.

As my birthday approaches on Monday, these words couldn’t have come at a more perfect time, especially amidst the whirlwind of events in my life. With our impending move in May and the constant irritation from our noisy neighbors, it’s been a challenge to stay grounded. Yet, finding solace in the synchronicity of hearing the right song at the right moment has been a beacon of hope. The fact that we’ve found a new place that aligns so well with our needs is almost surreal. It’s a gentle reminder that despite the chaos, everything is falling into place just as it’s meant to be.
